What is the start- and end location of the tour?

Our guided and self-guided tours start and end in the center of Utrecht (near Tivoli Vredenburg). The exact starting location depends on whether you rent bikes through us or not.

What is included in the tour?

Beer tastings and some snacks are included with every tour. The number of beers depends on the tour type chosen, but a minimum of 6 tastings of locally brewed craft beer are always included. Of course we also take care of the route, reservations and enough information to keep you entertained during the day. With our Guided Tours, besides the guide, a brewery tour is always included. The self-guided tour also includes a brewery tour. The Craft Beer Workshop includes a tasting (min. 3 beers) and a (home made, vegan) lunch. In addition, each participant gets a liter of their homemade beer to take home.

Is there a non-alcoholic version of the tour?

We do not have a specific non-alcoholic version of the tour. If someone in the group does not drink alcohol (or beer), there are plenty of alternative drinks available at each location. The Utrecht breweries make world famous non-alcoholic beers!

How does the self-guided tour exactly work?

During the self-guided Craft Beer Tour you will go out by bike and visit up to three different craft beer locations. Shortly before the start of your tour you will receive all necessary information by email. At the starting location (a beer shop in the center of Utrecht) you will receive a stamp card with the route and a phone holder for your bike. You can use the stamp card at the locations to ‘pay’ your beers.

How does the gift card work?

Do you want to surprise someone with an original gift? Then the gift card is for you! You order the gift card via our website and it represents a financial value. The gift card contains a voucher code that can be used by the recipient to book his/her tour. After ordering and payment of the gift card you will receive it by email within 24 hours. The gift card is valid for at least 1 year.

What is the minimum number of people required to join the tour?

For the self-guided tour the minimum number is 1 person. For the guided tours the minimum number is 6 people. Do you want to do a guided tour and ayou are with less than 6 people? Then send us a Whatsapp message. Maybe we can merge groups.

In which languages can the tour be given?

All our guides speak English and Dutch. Most guides also have basic knowledge of the German language. The self-guided tour is available in Dutch and English.

How does the bicycle rental work?

If you rent bicycles through us (additional costs are 7.50 p.p.), we will ensure that good bicycles are reserved for you. The bicycles are collected from Willemstraat Bikes in the center of Utrecht. With the self-guided tour you have to pick up the bikes yourself and return them on time. Please bring a copy of your ID for a smooth and fast transfer. You are always responsible for the bicycle yourself. In case of a flat tire, always call Willemstraat bikes and don’t continue biking.

How long does the tour last?

This differs per tour type, but we usually start around 1:00 PM and we are back in the city center of Utrecht at 5:00 PM. Our workshop normally starts around 10 AM and lasts until 3 PM.

What are the opening hours of Utrecht Craft Beer Tours?

Our standard opening hours for telephone contact are Monday to Thursday from 11 am to 9 pm, Friday from 10 am to 10 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 10 pm. Opening hours can change and can be checked via Google Maps.
