We provide Craft Beer Workshops for those who like to learn how to brew beer. In a small group (max. 12 people) you start with a small beer installation and brew your own beer in a tradional way. You work with malted grains and hop cones or grains (not with extracts!). At the end, you will add the yeast. With this workshop you learn how to brew beer in practice. Of course we take, as you are used to from us, time to taste some craft beers: several styles of beer are offered. The workshop lasts approximately 5 hours and a good lunch is also included in the price. After about two weeks your beer is fermented and bottled and you can come and collect it (or have it sent, those costs are not included in the price).
Our Craft Beer Workshop is a full day activity (5 hours). The workshop will take place at the circular nano-brewery De Brakkerij located in Nieuwegein (Utrecht). The location is easy to reach by public transport, bike or car. Usually, we start in the morning and end at the end of the afternoon. During the different brewing phases you have to wait a bit (unfortunately we cannot speed up the process). The is the ideal time to have a good conversation, ask us all you want to know about craft beer or just easily play a game. The workshop is an ideal alternation between doing, watching, learning, listening and tasting. At the end of the day you will be able to distinguish the different types of beer, you finally know how to brew beer and you are guaranteed to have a nice afternoon.
